New $1500 Prize Levels the Water at 2011 Typhoon Bloodydecks Shootout

Typhoon Polarized Optics and Bloodydecks.com have introduced a new prize category that should level the water among this season;s competing teams. The first yellowtail presented to the dock (by water) pays out an instant prize award of $1,500. This is just another example of how these two innovative sponsors are trying create some excitement among the competitors in a tournament that last year paid out over $27,000 in cash and prizes. “We are really excited to bring this event to SoCal fishermen…with big pay-outs and tons of prizes. We think this format combined with our great sponsors will create a fun and exciting tournament for everyone”, said Tournament Director Ali Hussainy.

Last years Yellowtail Shootout had 55 boats and 191 anglers competing for just under $17,000 in cash and $10,000 in prizes for a total prize purse of $27,000. Team “Tall Chasers” were the 2010 1st Place winners with their 32.7 lbs. yellowtail.
